Encoding VCD & SVCD in FlaskMpeg using the CCE plugin

You need the following software for this guide:

SVCD pack
CCE SP plugin - NOTE: Demo version, displays a logo on every encoded video. You can buy the full version (without that logo) online. Homepage

Nero - NOTE: Demo version, you can buy the full version online. Homepage

Step 1: Rip the DVD

Note: All you need from that guide is the File mode part. Please disregard any reference to the other DVD Decrypter modes.

Step 2: Calculating the bitrate

Step 3b: Sampling rate and resolution

Note: Due to various audio related problems in CCE you should set audio in the FlaskMpeg configuration to Direct Stream Copy.

Step 4: Encoding Video

Note that if you're encoding at 23.976fps (NTSC SVCD) you'll have to do step 6b!

Step 5: Encoding Audio

Due to all the audio problems in CCE we're doing this separately in another program. This also yields a higher quality.

Step 6: Splitting to CDs

6a) Demuxing
6b) Pulldown (if required)
6c) Remux & Split

Step 7: Burn
