Encoding VCD & SVCD in FlaskMpeg using the LSX plugin

You need the following software for this guide:

SVCD pack
LSX Encoder - NOTE: Demo version, you can buy the full version online. Homepage
Bitrate Calculator
Nero - NOTE: Demo version, you can buy the full version online. Homepage

Step 1: Rip the DVD

Note: All you need from that guide is the File mode part. Please disregard any reference to the other DVD Decrypter modes.

Step 2: Calculating the bitrate

Step 3a: Selecting the right streams and Audio part 1
Step 3b: Sampling rate and resolution

Step 4: Encoding

Note that if you're encoding at 24fps (NTSC SVCD) you will have to do setp 5b!

Step 5: Splitting to CDs

5b) Pulldown (if required)
5c) Remux & Split

Step 6: Burn
